Corban has been eating rice cereal now for a few weeks and has loved it.  So, we decided to try new things.  He is now eating oatmeal and trying different fruits & vegetables.  He LOVES oatmeal and bananas.  We have a schedule that we feed him by.

Breakfast: breastmilk, oatmeal

Mid morning snack: breastmilk, fruit

Lunch: breastmilk, veggie, oatmeal

Mid afternoon snack: breastmilk

Dinner: Breastmilk, veggie, oatmeal

We were expressing to his doctor at the last visit how little Corban sleeps.  He said that this is normal in some babies and that maybe since Corban isn’t a good sleeper, he’ll be a good eater.  Well, Dr. B. was right!  Corban eats like a champ.  When he first started eating cereal, he wouldn’t open his mouth till his hand was holding your hand that was holding the spoon (got that?).  Anyway, he would guide our hands to his mouth.  If you didn’t refill quick enough he would grunt and start to get upset.  But, now that we are feeding him oatmeal and fruits & veggies, he doesn’t guide the spoon anymore.  He just sits there with his mouth open like a little bird.  It really is the cutest thing.  Guess he thinks he has us trained now and he can just sit back and be fed!

On to the aftermath.  Poop.  Yes, I said it – Poop.  Gone are the days of the nice strictly breastmilk poop. *sigh* Welcome to the world of food poop.  I’m not gonna go into details of what it is like.  For those of you that have kids are have been around them, you know how it is.  It’s pretty much like adult poop only smaller.

**Warning – poop talking is about to start!**  Well, we had a doozy of a time today.  Corban only pooped one time yesterday and that was in the tub.  I knew it was going to happen!  He had gone all day and I told Eric that it’s just weird he hasn’t pooped with all the food he has eaten.  Well, I guess the warm water relaxed him and out it popped! I must say, this poop was much easier to clean out of the tub than the breastmilk poop.  Anyway, today he went 3 times!  That a boy!  Way to go on a schedule.  But, little Corban was not through yet.  As soon as I put him in the tub tonight – Surprise! It was like the Baby Ruth scene from Caddyshack.  So, I laid a towel over his bouncer (I bring it into the bathroom as an aide after he gets out of the tub) and put him on it while I was cleaning his tub out.  While I was in the process of doing this – Surprise!  More poop!! Then, to top it off, Corban kicked his leg and it went everywhere!  On his bouncer, on his legs, on the sink cabinet, everywhere. YUCK!!  Let’s just say that it’s a good think I don’t have a weak stomach.  And yes, I took pictures.  And no, I’m not going to post them.

I took pictures for Eric’s sake.  And let me tell you why.  Eric has yet to change a “new poop” diaper.  He has a very weak stomach.  He tried once and had to run out of the room because he almost threw up.  Well, last night was his night to bathe Corban.  Good thing he didn’t because of the above mentioned incident.  Well, since he missed last night’s bath, he was supposed to bathe Corban tonight.  He had to go to a meeting so he didn’t get back in time.  I guess this was God’s way of looking out for Eric.  He would not have been able to handle it!  Oh, but I wish it would have been him.  I would have loved to see his reaction!

Here are some pics of Corban eating!
